Job summary

Ingersoll Rand in Alsip, IL seeks an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead a large industrial maintenance team. You will build and strengthen maintenance systems, drive reliability, and keep production moving in a multi‑shift, union environment with a focus on proactive PM/PdM programs.

You will develop a skilled team, manage CMMS-driven work planning, and monitor downtime, MTTR and MTBF to continually improve asset performance and safety across a 80+ machine shop footprint.

Qualifications

• Technical degree in mechanical, electrical or industrial discipline, or equivalent maintenance experience.
• 3–5+ years of progressive maintenance leadership in industrial manufacturing (union environment preferred).
• 3+ years hands-on maintenance experience supporting production equipment.
• 2+ years developing or improving PM/PdM programs and maintenance processes.
• 2+ years managing CMMS processes, planning and scheduling with reliability metrics.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct maintenance technicians in PM, corrective work orders, and emergency repairs.
• Prioritize and assign daily work to maximize equipment uptime and minimize production disruption.
• Lead troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and controls issues on CNC machining and production equipment.
• Ensure PM schedules are executed on time and to standard; escalate recurring failures for root cause analysis.
• Own accurate work order and equipment records within the CMMS/TPM system.
• Coordinate spare parts availability with the storeroom to reduce downtime.
