About the Role
The Maintenance Supervisor I plays a key role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of facility equipment, systems, and infrastructure. This position oversees daily maintenance activities, coordinates team members, and implements preventive maintenance programs designed to minimize downtime, improve equipment reliability, and extend asset life.
The Maintenance Supervisor I provides hands-on leadership by training and supporting maintenance team members, promoting high-quality workmanship, and ensuring compliance with safety standards and established procedures. This role also manages maintenance schedules, troubleshoots complex mechanical and electrical issues, maintains accurate records, and collaborates with other departments to support operational goals.

The Maintenance Supervisor I applies strong technical knowledge to diagnose equipment issues, perform effective troubleshooting, and maintain reliable operations. Leadership and communication skills are essential for directing, developing, and motivating the maintenance team while coordinating effectively with other departments.
Strong organizational skills are required to prioritize work orders, manage preventive maintenance schedules, allocate resources, and maintain accurate records. The ability to analyze problems, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective actions is critical to minimizing downtime and improving equipment reliability. Experience with CMMS and other maintenance management tools is also valuable for managing workflows, tracking assets, and supporting reporting requirements.

Candidates must successfully pass a driver license background check as part of the hiring process if the position requires operation of a company vehicle. This process helps ensure that authorized drivers meet applicable safety and insurance requirements.
