Overview

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician I to join our team. In this role, you will perform preventive and corrective maintenance for multi-family housing communities, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and appliance repairs. You’ll ensure safety standards are met while delivering exceptional service to residents and team members.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair building systems (HVAC, ventilation).
• Perform electrical and plumbing repairs.
• Service appliances (stoves, refrigerators, washers, dryers).
• Complete light carpentry, drywall, and hardware repairs.
• Install and maintain flooring, cabinets, and countertops.
• Prepare units for occupancy and assist with seasonal maintenance.
• Inspect and clean common mechanical and storage areas.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 2 years as a maintenance technician; multifamily experience preferred.
• Skills: Basic proficiency in two or more trades (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting).
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Certifications: EPA Universal and CPO certifications preferred.
• Other: Basic computer skills and ability to use property management software.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform tasks requiring standing, walking, and occasional climbing.
• Flexible schedule includes nights, weekends, and holidays.
• On-call rotation required.
