Job summary

Apartment Management Consultants (AMC) is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead the maintenance team on-site at our Albuquerque properties. You will oversee daily tasks, safety, and vendor coordination while ensuring buildings and grounds are well-maintained and occupancy-ready.

Responsibilities include scheduling, interviewing and training maintenance staff, managing inventory, and upholding OSHA safety standards.

Qualifications

• Knowledge in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical.
• Self-motivated with attention to detail.
• Ability to operate various hand tools including power tools.
• Ability to maintain positive relationships with internal and external contacts.
• Effective communication skills.
• Property maintenance/handyman experience.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform and schedule daily maintenance tasks including preparing vacant units for occupancy and preventative maintenance.
• Assist with interviewing, screening, and making recommendations for service, housekeeping/custodial, or grounds personnel with the manager.
• Assist in training of service, housekeeping/custodial, or grounds personnel.
• Clean and maintain work areas, tools, and equipment.
• Improve maintenance processes and methods.
• Maintain MSDS sheets and replacement logs.
• Ensure attendees meet expectations; supervise vendor work.
• Oversee inventory, ordering, and delivery of supplies for service and custodial teams.
• Ensure OSHA standards and safety policies are followed.
• Handle lock-outs due to evictions and respond to requests 24/7 as needed.
• Be available on an on-call basis.
• Report unusual circumstances regarding property or residents.
• Remove snow and ice as necessary.
• Ensure necessary tools are on hand.
