Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a reliable and hardworking Maintenance Supervisor to join our UniFirst community in Minnesota. You will ensure facility equipment is functioning efficiently and identify areas to improve maintenance practices and training for all maintenance staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years repairing industrial processing equipment in a production environment.
• Minimum 2 years supervising maintenance personnel.
• Knowledgeable in maintenance equipment including electrical and mechanical systems.
• Must read blueprints and schematics; English maintenance literature.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems and determine corrective action using manuals and schematics.
• Inspect, operate, and test machinery to diagnose malfunctions.
• Perform basic welding to repair facilities and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair PLCs and associated control systems.
• Perform and schedule all preventive maintenance on assets.
• Manage equipment maintenance and assign repairs beyond regular hours.
• Oversee safety, regulatory compliance, and training for the maintenance team.
• Train and develop maintenance staff and manage the budget with leadership.
