Job summary

Travel + Leisure Co. in Florida is seeking an Assistant Maintenance Manager to lead building and grounds upkeep, ensuring guest comfort and safety across all units.

You will coordinate maintenance activities, liaise with front desk and housekeeping, and supervise in-house and contracted work to meet quality and timelines. A valid HVAC certification and strong customer service skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge in repairing electrical, plumbing, HVAC, structural and appliance systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• HVAC certification.
• Ability to work flexible hours during peak seasons (spring/summer).
• CPO certification or willingness to obtain is desirable.
• Physical ability to lift 50 lbs. or more.
• Extensive lifting of supplies or equipment, walking, reaching, climbing, bending.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Maintenance Manager in planning, organizing, staffing, directing and controlling the operations of the building and grounds maintenance department.
• Communicate with other departments based (i.e. front desk/ housekeeping) on various issues.
• Ensure overall quality and timeliness of maintenance performed both in-house as well as by contracted services.
• Ensure compliance of the preventative maintenance procedures within units and building systems.
• Assist other maintenance technicians as requested.
