Software Placement Group, SPG is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for our Campbellsville/Lebanon, KY site to lead a two-person team in maintaining plant assets and uptime. You will drive safety, asset care, and continuous improvement to support production targets.

The role requires planning, budgeting, and optimizing maintenance activities while ensuring compliance and data-driven decision making in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a maintenance plan meeting compliance and output targets.

Overview

A growing manufacturing start-up site, part of an international and established company, is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for its facility in the Campbellsville, KY / Lebanon, KY area. This newly created role is responsible for maintaining the integrity, reliability, and safe operating condition of all plant assets, maximizing equipment uptime through disciplined preventive and corrective maintenance, and driving continuous improvement across the site. The position supervises a team of 2 and reports to the Site Leader.

What you'll do

• Develop and maintain a maintenance plan that meets legal, compliance, and output requirements while protecting plant assets
• Triage helpdesk requests and assign resources to complete reactive maintenance in a timely manner
• Lead fault diagnosis and resolution efforts to minimize recurring equipment faults
• Follow Management of Change processes to implement temporary and permanent solutions
• Monitor adherence to the maintenance plan and report performance monthly
• Forward‑plan maintenance activities, ensuring Permit to Work and risk assessments are completed
• Participate hands‑on in plant maintenance to ensure safe, efficient equipment operation
• Maintain plant to the highest safety and environmental standards, implementing asset care and condition‑based monitoring
• Plan and manage resources, parts, and labor for scheduled shutdowns; review post‑shutdown findings and share best practices
• Define and maintain appropriate spare parts inventory; support and maintain FMECA studies
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and downtime reporting to support data‑led decision making
• Ensure completion of all PPMs by maintenance technicians and analyze equipment failures for trends
• Develop Service Level Agreements with the Site Leader and review supplier/service contract performance
• Manage maintenance spend against budget with the Site Leader and Accounting
• Develop long‑range service plans aligned with shutdown schedules and provide cost estimates
• Manage the site inventory system and report critical spares consumption to finance
• Promote safe working practices and support site‑wide safety initiatives
• Document and maintain Standard Operating Procedures and Risk Assessments; audit compliance
• Encourage reporting of unsafe acts/conditions and manage contractor safety on site
• Assist with third‑party audits as required
• Plan manpower to support 24/7/365 site operations
• Ensure the maintenance team is trained, competent, and equipped to perform their roles
• Develop and implement training plans for new maintenance technicians
• Lead and manage direct reports, including performance and development plans
• Lead team meetings to communicate requirements and site performance
• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities
• Operate plant equipment as needed, including during abnormal or emergency situations
• Complete training shifts to maintain competency and assist hands‑on with maintenance tasks, including outdoor work more than 70% of the time
• Participate in the site's on‑call structure

• Preferred: leadership/soft skills training, experience with quality management systems or compliance standards, purchase ordering or maintenance management systems, budget management, and auditing experience (training can be provided)
• Preferred: industry/sector knowledge
• Preferred: experience with anaerobic digestion or related operations
• Preferred: experience setting up a new site or commissioning activities
• Preferred: experience setting up a CMMS system
• Preferred: safety qualifications/certifications and Six Sigma or similar process training
