Maintenance Supervisor - Food Manufacturing

This role is based on the West Coast, leading a team in a high-volume food production facility. The Maintenance Supervisor will oversee preventive maintenance, ensure safety and food safety compliance, and collaborate with various departments to meet operational goals.

Key Responsibilities

1. Supervise maintenance technicians, providing guidance, scheduling, and support.
2. Ensure safe working conditions and enforce safety protocols.
3. Conduct safety training and promote a culture of safety and accountability.
4. Drive food safety and regulatory compliance with QA and plant leadership.
5. Lead preventive maintenance programs focusing on equipment effectiveness.
6. Utilize CMMS and digital systems for maintenance tracking and analysis.
7. Coordinate with vendors and contractors for inspections and repairs.
8. Implement continuous improvement tools to enhance plant reliability.
9. Support troubleshooting of production equipment, including automation systems.
10. Monitor KPIs related to maintenance efficiency and costs.
11. Develop team training to improve technical skills and safety awareness.
12. Provide coaching and foster a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in maintenance within a food manufacturing or USDA-regulated environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and automation systems (PLCs, VFDs, sensors).
• Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.
• Proficiency with CMMS and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Understanding of safety, food safety, and regulatory standards.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Certifications in electrical, mechanical, or industrial maintenance are preferred.
