Responsibilities
- Supervise Leads and Mechanics in daily activities.
- Perform repairs, installations, and preventive maintenance on all production equipment to ensure operational condition.
- Use electrical and mechanical expertise for troubleshooting, repairs, installations, and maintenance.
- Develop and follow plans to meet departmental goals.
- Conduct safety and sanitation audits; participate in safety, quality, and food safety committees.
- Train department employees as needed.
- Monitor work order system; ensure prompt addressing of safety, food safety, and operational work orders.
- Ensure equipment safety and compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Maintain communication with employees about work assignments and opportunities.
- Maintain and improve preventive maintenance programs and schedules.
- Ensure all plant equipment is properly maintained per manufacturer recommendations.
- Suggest modifications to improve equipment performance, safety, or food safety.
- Train mechanics and production personnel in troubleshooting and operation.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education & Experience
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- At least 3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing plant, preferably in bakery or food/beverage manufacturing.
- Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience or 4 years as a lead in manufacturing.
Skills and Knowledge
- Ability to read electrical diagrams; strong electrical skills.
- Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting, PLC programming, and knowledge of electric codes.
- Experience with regulatory inspections (AIB, BRC, OSHA, etc.).
- Mathematical skills including fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.
- Leadership and training skills.
- Multicultural communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work night shifts.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Job Details
- Shift: 3rd
- Salary Range: $90,000 - $98,000 plus $3,000 bonus annually.
