Responsibilities

1. Supervise Leads and Mechanics in daily activities.
2. Perform repairs, installations, and preventive maintenance on all production equipment to ensure operational condition.
3. Use electrical and mechanical expertise for troubleshooting, repairs, installations, and maintenance.
4. Develop and follow plans to meet departmental goals.
5. Conduct safety and sanitation audits; participate in safety, quality, and food safety committees.
6. Train department employees as needed.
7. Monitor work order system; ensure prompt addressing of safety, food safety, and operational work orders.
8. Ensure equipment safety and compliance with OSHA regulations.
9. Maintain communication with employees about work assignments and opportunities.
10. Maintain and improve preventive maintenance programs and schedules.
11. Ensure all plant equipment is properly maintained per manufacturer recommendations.
12. Suggest modifications to improve equipment performance, safety, or food safety.
13. Train mechanics and production personnel in troubleshooting and operation.
14. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education & Experience

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing plant, preferably in bakery or food/beverage manufacturing.
• Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience or 4 years as a lead in manufacturing.

Skills and Knowledge

• Ability to read electrical diagrams; strong electrical skills.
• Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting, PLC programming, and knowledge of electric codes.
• Experience with regulatory inspections (AIB, BRC, OSHA, etc.).
• Mathematical skills including fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.
• Leadership and training skills.
• Multicultural communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work night shifts.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Job Details

• Shift: 3rd
• Salary Range: $90,000 - $98,000 plus $3,000 bonus annually.
