Job summary

Mark-Taylor is hiring a Manager of Facilities and Service (Maintenance Supervisor) at Cactus Forty-2 in Phoenix, AZ. You will lead Service Technicians, oversee hands-on maintenance, and ensure five-star resident service while maintaining the community.

The role requires advanced trade knowledge (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, etc.), relevant certifications, and several years of maintenance supervision experience. On-site position with competitive hourly pay and on-call incentives.

Qualifications

• Three or more years' experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar.
• 1 year as Maintenance Manager/Supervisor/Building Engineer or similar.
• Basic written and spoken English.
• Advanced knowledge in Plumbing, Electrical, Pool Maintenance, HVAC, Carpentry, Landscape Maintenance, Appliances, and OSHA standards.
• EPA, HVAC, CPO, OSHA certifications or equivalents.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Service Technicians, Facilities Technicians, and Housekeepers.
• Oversee hands-on maintenance to preserve community value.
• Inspect/repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool, carpentry, drywall, appliances, and exterior structures.
• Manage Make-Ready/Turn Board and inventory to support leasing.
• Schedule contractors and vendors as needed.
• Inspect property for safety hazards and remediate.
• Share on-call duties and respond after hours in uniform.
• Maintain records of preventive maintenance, inspections, inventories and logs.
• Deliver excellent resident service and maintain positive rapport.
• Oversee capital projects, bidding and execution.

Compensation:

• The anticipated base pay range for this position is $35.00/hour.
• All service team members who participate in the on-call rotation receive an additional $3.00/hour incentive for all hours worked while on-call.
• Additional hourly pay for EPA, CPO, and OSHA certifications.***

Requirements

• Advanced knowledge in the following areas: Plumbing, Electrical, Pool Maintenance, HVAC, Carpentry, Landscape Maintenance, Appliances, and OSHA-related standards.
• One or more industry specific professional certifications (EPA, HVAC, CPO, OSHA or similar).
• Service orientation.
• Basic computer skills.
• Three or more years' experience working as a Maintenance Technician, Apartment Turn Technician, Service Technician, Make-Ready Technician, or Work Order Technician.
• 1 year working as a Maintenance Manager, Supervisor, Building Engineer or similar.
• A basic understanding of written and verbal English.

In This Role You Will:

• Serve as the leader for the team of Service Technicians, Facilities Technicians, and Housekeepers.
• Oversee and execute the hands-on maintenance duties necessary to maintain and enhance the value of the community.
• Perform consistent inspections, diagnosing problems, and making necessary repairs in areas such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool, flooring, carpentry, dry walling, appliances, and exterior structures.
• Manage the daily inventory of apartment homes in order to support leasing efforts, including managing the Make-Ready, Turn Board.
• Schedule contractors and vendors as needed.
• Inspect the property for safety hazards that may pose a liability and correct the hazards.
• Share rotating on-call duty with service team members and readily available to go the property after hours if needed and in uniform/badge.
• Complete Weekly Service Report in a timely manner.
• Adhere to Mark-Taylor safety protocols, programs, policies and procedures.
• Participate in training classes.
• Train and mentor Service Technician and Facilities Technicians.
• Keep accurate records regarding preventative maintenance, work orders, inspections, inventories, pool chemical logs, make-ready and turn units.
• Maintain excellent customer service and positive rapport with all residents and team members.
• Capital project oversight, bidding, and execution.
