Qualifications

  • Ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Export compliance eligibility under ITAR/EAR (U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent resident, or other approved status).

Job Overview

Maintenance Supervisor – Bulk Products Department

Salary range: $79,200-103,950. Final offer determined by merits.

Responsibilities
  • Provide both preventative and predictive maintenance for facility equipment to minimize outages
  • Perform skilled electrical and mechanical equipment repairs and assist with equipment installations
  • Assist and advise staff on complex or difficult tasks
  • Perform on‑call duties for after‑hour emergencies, reviewing the nature of the emergency and performing maintenance or contacting appropriate staff
  • Establish and maintain records and checklists to ensure inspection schedules are implemented on a timely basis
  • Maintain equipment files for spare parts identification
  • Manage maintenance costs, review monthly and take corrective action to correct problem areas
  • Maintain plant safety devices, ensuring they function as designed
  • Evaluate and communicate risks associated with potential environmental impacts
  • Monitor environmental programs and procedures
  • Update and maintain environmental reports (air velocity testing, emissions, confined space permits, utilities sanitary discharge)
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state and local environmental regulations
  • Develop and implement design changes to increase production, improve safe operation, and reduce operating costs
  • Work closely with plant operators to ensure adequate facility availability for production requirements
  • Ensure operating personnel perform proper, on‑time maintenance as directed, with emphasis on minor facility repair
  • Ensure all employees under supervision understand and follow environmental, health and safety rules and regulations
  • Assist Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering and Health & Safety functions to secure and maintain Strip’s quality registrations
  • Determine need for outside contractors and assist in preparing bid specifications and selecting contractors
  • Serve as liaison with contractors, reviewing work for conformity to standards and ensuring contractor safety
