Materion is seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer to lead process improvement initiatives in Elmore, Ohio. This role involves collaboration with various teams to enhance productivity, quality, and efficiency of manufacturing processes.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in engineering and have 3-5 years of manufacturing experience, with expertise in Lean Six Sigma methodologies. Benefits include competitive pay and comprehensive health plans.
The Continuous Improvement Engineer, under the direction of designated Site Manager, will provide continuous improvement engineering leadership and guidance in areas of process control, cost (yield and labor efficiency) improvement, product quality improvement, and cycle time reduction. The engineer will also lead, coach, and provide guidance to peer engineers in Lean Six Sigma and DMAIC problem solving, including development of training content. Additional duties include investigating and proposing new procedures, methods to automate, improve, or scale‑up existing processes, working with operators, engineering, maintenance, quality, management, R&D, and production planning to achieve these goals.
