United Rolls Inc. is seeking a skilled Maintenance Supervisor to lead the maintenance shop in a fast-paced foundry/manufacturing environment. You will plan, supervise and direct activities on your shift, ensuring safety, quality and productivity while adhering to company policies.
You will report to the Maintenance Manager, train and evaluate hourly staff, and maintain housekeeping and equipment readiness. Industrial experience and strong mechanical/electrical skills are required.

Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Supervisor to join our team. This is a great opportunity for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and are looking to contribute to the success of our organization.
Reports directly to the Maintenance Manager, plans and assists the Maintenance Manager in the development, implementation and adherence to the Maintenance Shop standards.
The duties include supervising and planning work to be performed on your shift within the Maintenance Department. Instructs and evaluates employees with emphasis on correct work methods, quality, safety and company policy. They are responsible for maintaining housekeeping throughout the Maintenance Department.

High School Degree is required. Technical, trade school or equivalent four years experience in maintenance practices in an industrial and/or manufacturing environment is with supervisory experience is a plus.
Must understand the use of United’s computer applications. Knowledge of the Union/Company labor agreement and Company rules and regulations is required. Must be thoroughly trained in the standard operating procedures within the department.
Must have good mechanical and electrical related skills, be able to quickly assess acceptable productivity levels, be proficient in blueprint reading, shop math and related diagrams. Must have the ability to plan, direct instruct and discipline the hourly work force.
Flooring: Cement, wooden platforms, rubber mats. Variable when accessing the outdoors.
Lighting: Adequate overhead lighting.
Environment: Foundry and machine shop environment. Need to be careful with other employees while moving overhead cranes in the vicinity. Exposed to ambient temperatures outdoors year round.
Safety Equipment: Hard hat, gloves, safety glasses, and steel-toe shoes.
Tools and Equipment: All basic hand and power tools, ladders, manuals, prints, dolly, mills, lathes, welder, welding gloves/hood/sleeves, fire resistant jacket, 35 foot lift, harness, lanyards, etc. This list is not all-inclusive.
