Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated (JLL) is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Supervisor for our Lake Orion, MI site. You will supervise maintenance staff, coordinate preventive and corrective programs, and manage vendor contracts to ensure reliable building operations.

You will oversee building power, automation, security systems, and life-safety compliance, while leading weekend coverage and on-site project work. A strong background in facilities management and union-trades supervision is required.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent work experience in facilities management.
• Minimum of 2 years industry experience in maintenance supervision.
• Strong organizational and management skills with proven ability to provide direction to staff.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal and presentation abilities.
• Computer skills proficiency required.
• Experience managing union trades personnel and understanding of UAW operations.
• Background in fleet management and mobile equipment operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage and schedule JLL UAW trades personnel, mobile equipment technicians, and general housekeeping staff while overseeing vendor contracts as required.
• Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance programs across HVAC/R systems, building exhaust systems, elevator maintenance, and utility systems.
• Oversee power systems including electrical substations, switchgear, emergency power systems, UPS systems, and standby generators.
• Manage building automation systems, monitoring systems, data centers, security systems, and energy conservation initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with life safety systems including fire sprinkler systems, smoke/fire detection, fire extinguishers, and evacuation plans.
• Perform safe operating tours, investigate and implement assigned projects, and provide on-site coverage during weekend production.
• Maintain fleet management operations including scheduled preventative maintenance, emergency repairs, and spare parts inventory management.

What this job involves:

As a Facilities Maintenance Supervisor at JLL, you'll sustain our comprehensive Facility Management Program by providing direct supervision of operational support personnel, including managing JLL UAW Trades and Sanitation team, scheduling for preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance work, and project workloads.
