Maintenance Supervisor

Dessert Holdings is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to join our team based in Humble, TX. The Maintenance Supervisor will drive functional problem solving, innovations, and process improvements of assets, processes, and technology. You will support asset management to ensure machine availability, reliability, and performance by executing the maintenance plan.

Your Day-to-Day

  • Supervise a team of Electricians and Mechanics responsible for executing the Maintenance plan.
  • Provide leadership and support to the operation line teams and participate in their Daily Direction Setting meetings.
  • Support standard work practices for breakdown elimination and ensure action items are implemented.
  • Create a schedule to align resources, reduce Mean Time To Repair (MTTR), and manage overtime and vacation coverage.
  • Conduct team member performance appraisals.
  • Coach technicians on maintenance standards and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Maintain a safe work environment by correcting unsafe acts and conditions.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities are tracked and documented within the CMMS.
  • Coach the team on Autonomous Maintenance within the operations team.
  • Operate within the Quality Management System and adhere to SQF, HACCP, and GMP practices to ensure employee safety and produce safe, quality products.

What You Bring to the Team

  • At least 7+ years of industrial mechanical experience; a two-year technical degree is preferred.
  • Prior experience leading and supervising a team.
  • Fundamental understanding of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic schematics, HVAC, and mechanical drawings for problem-solving at the component level.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair semi-complex mechanical machinery, including pumps, fans, ovens, control valves, pneumatic controls, and hydraulic systems.
  • Experience with Fanuc and ABB Robotics troubleshooting and adjustments.
  • Experience with rigging and lifting of mechanical equipment.
  • Understanding of ammonia and freezer systems.
  • Proficiency with CMMS and MS Office.
  • Ability to participate actively in maintenance activities on the production floor, including physical tasks like lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Forklift license or willingness to obtain one within 30 days.
  • Flexibility to work overtime, including weekends, if necessary.
