Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced 3rd Shift Maintenance Supervisor to lead and oversee all maintenance operations during the overnight shift. This role is responsible for ensuring timely and effective maintenance of equipment, machinery, and facilities to support uninterrupted operations. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong technical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to make critical decisions under minimal supervision.

Shift Schedule:

3rd Shift (Typically 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM or similar, depending on site-specific hours)

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and direct a team of maintenance technicians and support staff on 3rd shift.

Ensure all maintenance work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.

Coordinate and perform preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance tasks.

Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

Maintain accurate shift logs, work orders, and maintenance records using CMMS systems.

Communicate effectively with day shift supervisors, operations, and other departments for smooth shift transitions.

Train and mentor team members to build technical and safety competencies.

Respond to urgent issues to minimize downtime and maintain production targets.

Monitor inventory of tools, parts, and supplies; coordinate with procurement as needed.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred.

5+ years of industrial maintenance experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.

Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and control systems.

Proficiency with CMMS and Microsoft Office Suite.
