Job summary

BLG LOGISTICS is seeking a Maintenance Specialist for the 2nd shift in Vance, AL. This full-time role oversees daily maintenance operations, schedules preventive maintenance, and ensures equipment and facilities are kept in proper condition to support production.

The ideal candidate has 4–5 years of related maintenance experience, knowledge of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and safety compliance, and the ability to read blueprints.

Qualifications

• Four to five years related experience or equivalent.
• Knowledge of city/state building codes, OSHA requirements, and ADA laws; implements OSHA/ADA guidelines.
• Knowledge of ventilation/air conditioning, heating, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and coordinates daily operations of maintenance requirements and preventative maintenance schedules.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs during production and maintenance.
• Read and understand technical drawings to repair and maintain equipment.
• Coordinate and supervise regular preventive maintenance on machines and facilities.
• Ensure safety inspections are completed and records kept for audits.
• Supervise subordinates and communicate with staff/managers.
