Job summary

Dorada Foods - Ponca City is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to write routings and manufacturing instructions, oversee the shop floor, and drive process improvements in the production line.

You will manage the transition of new products into production, design and procure tools, participate in concurrent engineering reviews, and collaborate with vendors and other departments to ensure quality, uptime and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Four to five years of experience in manufacturing engineering.
• Knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, hydraulics, and tooling.
• Strong leadership and communication skills; able to present to groups.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities and adapt to change.
• Familiarity with production scheduling and shop operations.

Job description

Duties & Responsibilities:Using manufacturing engineering practices, you are responsible for writing routings/manufacturing instructions.Manage the successful transition of new products and technology into the production arena.Write appropriation requests and prepare quotes.Participate in concurrent engineering design reviews.Evaluate and approve drawings, routings/MIs, specs and other documents.Design and procure tools/equipment.Process development and documentation of manufacturing work instructions.Support prototyping activities of new product development.Evaluate and solve production problems.Provide input for the department’s annual budget and assist with the planning and scheduling of all budgeted projectsProvide input and direction to the Lead Mechanic with weekday, weekend and vacation scheduling to minimize overtime.Partner with all departments to make the Engineering department a positive influence on quality, productivity, efficiency and uptime.Optimize inventory to reduce costs, while maintaining proper parts availability and insure that all Enterprise Asset Management System functions are adhered to.Assist in interviewing and selection process for the hiring of new personnel in the Engineering Department.Manage production operations including all activities of the shop floor and follow established procedures and approved processes.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESOversee manufacturing operations from an Engineering viewpoint.Hiring, training and direct supervision of maintenance personnel.QUALIFICATIONS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
