Job summary

Autokiniton in Avon, Ohio is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead the maintenance team in a high-performance automotive manufacturing environment. This full-time role reports to the Maintenance Manager and focuses on safety, equipment reliability, and on-time production.

You will drive root-cause analysis, implement lean practices, and ensure compliance with TS 16949 and ISO 14001 while coordinating with other departments to meet quality and delivery goals.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of manufacturing, stamping, and/or assembly processes.
• Strong knowledge of TS 16949 and ISO 14001 regulations.
• Experience applying lean manufacturing concepts.
• Proven leadership ability.

Responsibilities

• Provide input into departmental strategic goals with measurable objectives.
• Provide direction and leadership aligned with plant business plan goals.
• Input individual colleague hours into the Kronos system.
• Maintain safety, quality, production and delivery objectives in area of responsibility.
• Maintain and repair equipment to support production jobs.
• Participate in root cause analysis and team problem solving (8D, meetings).
• Support activities toward achieving customer awards and quality registrations (TS 16949/ISO14001).
• Ensure safety devices and PPE are used and understood by the team.
• Assume other duties as directed by supervisor.

Maintenance Supervisor

RESPONSIBLITIES:

• Provide key input into the development of departmental strategic goals along with identifying key measurable to support the departmental goals.
• Provide direction and leadership consistent with plant business plan goals.
• Input individual colleague hours into the Kronos system.
• Responsible for maintenance department safety, quality, production and delivery objectives in his/her area of responsibility.
• Responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment to support production jobs.
• Participate in root cause analysis and team problem solving activities (ex. 8D reports, department meetings, etc.).
• Support plant activities towards achieving customer awards and quality registrations (ex. TS 16949/ISO14001).
• Assure all direct reports are aware of their Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) responsibilities and hold all direct reports accountable.
• Assure all safety devices are properly in place and utilized and verify individual usage of personal protection equipment (PPE) by the work team.
• Assumes other duties as directed by supervisor.

LEADERSHIP/SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provides direct leadership and supervises hourly skilled trades colleagues.
• Ability to identify, select, train and coach management talent.
• Provides model behavior to demonstrate corporate values.

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelors Degree in Applied Science in Manufacturing, Engineering or Industrial Technology preferred.
• Minimum of six (6) years as a maintenance supervisor preferred, and one (1) year of management experience.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Knowledge of manufacturing, stamping, and/or assembly processes as required for the position.
• Strong knowledge of TS 16949 and ISO 14001 regulations
• Experience in applying lean manufacturing concepts.
• Proven leadership ability

This full-time, salary role is a part of our Maintenance department and reports to the Maintenance Manager.
