Job summary

Aviagen in Loretto, TN is seeking an experienced Maintenance Specialist to lead day-to-day maintenance operations across facility, equipment, and utilities. You will supervise maintenance workers, plan schedules, and ensure safe, compliant performance.

Responsibilities include managing breakdowns, coordinating external contractors, and developing preventative maintenance procedures while maintaining records of performance and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least 5 years of maintenance experience or advanced education in electrical/mechanical.
• Experience supervising maintenance staff and managing safety and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and motivate maintenance workers in facility and utility equipment troubleshooting and repairs.
• Aggressively manage all breakdown maintenance to successful conclusions.
• Schedule and direct day-to-day activities to ensure safety and timely work.
• Oversee recruiting, onboarding, development, and training of maintenance staff.
• Evaluate equipment functionality and schedule repairs or method changes as needed.
• Develop, implement, and maintain preventative maintenance procedures.
• Oversee external contractors to ensure adherence to plans and specs.
• Track and document performance of maintenance staff.
• Directly assist with repairs and troubleshooting as needed.
