Job summary

GFL Industries in Williamston, NC seeks a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of our maintenance shop, directing a team responsible for preventive maintenance and repairs of diesel-powered fleet.

You will schedule repairs with the M5 Planner, mentor technicians, and uphold safety and compliance standards while driving performance and reliability across heavy-duty equipment.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of heavy diesel truck maintenance experience.
• Minimum 1 year in a leadership or lead technician role.
• Strong knowledge of engines, emissions, hydraulics, and air brakes.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and scheduling/budgeting.

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of technicians.
• Schedule repairs, track parts, and manage fleet condition using the M5 Planner.
• Ensure safety and compliance with federal/state regulations.

Job description

Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Supervisor will oversee the day-to-day operations of a maintenance department and the supervision of a team responsible for the preventive maintenance and repair of fleet. Ensure all repairs and/or maintenance to equipment (diesel fleet, alternate fuel, containers, and other heavy-duty equipment) is performed in accordance with Company safety and compliance standards, and with all federal/state regulations.

• The Tech Wizard: Use the M5 Planner to schedule repairs, track parts, and ensure our fleet-from heavy-duty trucks to alternative fuel vehicles-is in peak condition.
• Safety First, Always: Ensure every bolt is tight and every repair meets our gold-standard safety and federal/state regulations.
• Problem Solver: Dive into complex diagnostics and lead the way on advanced preventive maintenance.

• Grit: You're ready to lift 50 lbs, work in the shop environment, and lead from the front.
