The Marzetti Company in Wareham, MA is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead daily maintenance operations ensuring safety and equipment reliability. This role is critical in driving efficiency through preventive and corrective maintenance activities and supporting the maintenance team’s skill development.
The ideal candidate has significant maintenance experience, strong leadership skills, and familiarity with safety protocols. The position offers a dynamic environment on the manufacturing floor, with full-time responsibilities.
Position Summary:
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day supervision of all maintenance technicians and the maintenance clerk, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable operation of production equipment and facility systems. This role serves as the frontline leader of the maintenance function, driving execution of preventive and corrective maintenance activities, upholding safety and quality standards, and developing the skills and accountability of the maintenance team under the direction of the Maintenance Manager.
Essential Functions:
Supervisory Responsibility:
Directly supervises 10 maintenance technicians. Supervisory responsibilities include daily work direction, scheduling, coaching, performance feedback, and incident reporting. Works closely with the Maintenance Manager on hiring, onboarding, and formal performance evaluations.

Works primarily on the manufacturing floor with some time in the maintenance office. Regularly required to speak, read, hear, stand, walk, bend, crouch, climb, and reach while moving about the facility. Frequently exposed to non‑ambient temperatures, fumes, odors, dust, oil, slippery floors, and moving equipment. The noise level is loud on the plant floor. Earplugs, hairnets, beard nets, safety glasses, and slip‑resistant/steel‑toed shoes are required per company GMP and safety standards. May be required to work extended hours, weekends, or respond to after‑hours maintenance emergencies as needed.
