Job summary

Chamberlain Group is seeking a maintenance and facilities leader to coordinate maintenance, repairs, and inspections across all sites. You will oversee capital projects, budget planning, and work with vendors and AHJ to ensure compliance with codes and safety standards.

The role requires 6–8 years in commercial property maintenance, strong leadership, and the ability to manage priorities across multiple locations while maintaining strong relationships with management, staff, and contractors.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • 6–8 years of relevant commercial property maintenance experience.
  • Experience in building and grounds maintenance and project management.
  • Ability to work across multiple locations and teams, including contractors and AHJ.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee maintenance, repairs, and inspections across all sites.
  • Manage capital projects, budgets, submittals, scheduling, and execution.
  • Interface with AHJ on permits, codes, safety, and police matters.
  • Lead safety programs with EH&S teams and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Communicate status to stakeholders and coordinate with production maintenance teams.

We strive to recruit the best talent in the industry and give employees opportunities for continuing education and training to help them advance in their careers.Coordinate and oversee maintenance and repair activities for offices, grounds, and buildings across all sites ensuring issues are resolved promptly and efficiently.Ensure all buildings comply with regulations and company policies.Conduct regular inspections and implement necessary improvements.Coordinate and manage the efforts of contracted services and trades ensuring quality and timely completion of work.Respond to management and employee needs for ongoing facility support and activities.Manage and execute work orders, preventive maintenance, and inspections.Perform minor mechanical repairs, painting, furniture moves and general maintenance duties.Communicate to stakeholders regarding property conditions, projects, and ongoing maintenanceCollaborate on the management of security, card access, video surveillance, life safety and fire protection systems regarding the maintenance, operation, and proceduresCollaborate with plant production maintenance teams on overall building operations and needs.Collaborate with environmental, health, and safety teams on safety programs and initiativesManage all emergency situations such as responding to after hour emergency calls and making decisions regarding response levelsAssist in the planning, management, and execution of capital projects, including new installations and office renovationsAssist in the planning, management, and monitoring of budgets for maintenance and repairs, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising qualityInterface with local governmental Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) on permit, code interpretation, operations, fire, safety, and police mattersComply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance across their teams.Protect Chamberlain Group’s reputation by keeping information confidential.Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reading professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed.Motivate and lead a high performance team by attracting, developing, engaging and retaining team membersDrive the performance management and compensation processes by communicating job expectations, monitoring and evaluating performance, providing feedback and facilitating employee development per the company’s policiesMaintain transparent communication by appropriately communicating organization information to team through department meetings, one-on-one meetings, appropriate email, IM and regular interpersonal communicationsLead and motivate individuals and teams to create a workplace culture that is consistent with the Chamberlain Group mission, vision and values.Minimum QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED Equivalent6-8 years of relevant commercial property maintenanceExperience in building and grounds maintenance & management; demonstrated ability to manage and direct projects including planning, costing, requesting submittals for approval, scheduling, and execution.Microsoft Office SuiteAble to multi-task and run multiple projects keeping to tight timetables & budgets.Ability to work independently for most of the time and maintain good working relationships with management, co-workers, and contractorsAbility to work and manage projects across multiple locationsAbility to communicate effectively with staff, contractor personnel and AHJAbility and willingness to implement cultural and process changes that reinforce a company goals.#Li-JE1#LI-OnsiteThe pay range for this position is $60,400.00 - $97,525.00; base pay offered may vary depending on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience. In addition to base pay, also offered is a comprehensive benefits package and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
