Job summary

Heidelberg Materials North America is seeking a maintenance leader to drive safety, reliability, and world-class operational excellence at a large industrial site in Sumter, SC. You will guide a maintenance team, plan preventive and predictive programs, and analyze downtime to implement improvements across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mobile equipment.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead and develop the maintenance team to drive safety, reliability, and operational excellence.
• Plan, prioritize, and oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs.
• Optimize equipment performance by analyzing downtime trends and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage maintenance budgets, parts inventory, and vendor/contractor relationships to support operational goals.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements while fostering a strong safety culture.

What Are We Looking For

• Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop maintenance professionals in a heavy industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of industrial, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mobile equipment maintenance practices.
• Proven capability to drive equipment reliability, troubleshoot complex issues, and implement sustainable solutions.
• Effective planning, organizational, and project management skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with a commitment to safety, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.

Work Environment

• Work is performed in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment with regular exposure to moving equipment, noise, dust, and varying weather conditions.
• Requires frequent walking, climbing, standing, and engagement with production and maintenance teams throughout the facility.
• Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required and provided in accordance with company standards.
• Must be able to lift, push, pull up to 50 lbs. occasionally
