Job summary

Skidmore-Tynan ISD in Texas is seeking an on-site Maintenance Supervisor who will lead maintenance and repair services for district facilities, ensuring the buildings are safe, functional, and ready for daily use.

The role requires knowledge of carpentry, electrical, HVAC, painting and plumbing, plus the ability to direct staff, read blueprints, perform calculations, and coordinate with the Director of Operations to sustain an operating-ready school plant.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of building repair crafts incl. carpentry, electrical, HVAC, painting, and plumbing.
• Ability to direct and supervise personnel.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations.
• Strong organizational, communications, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of turf management.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site maintenance and repair services for district facilities.
• Assist Director of Operations to maintain the school plant in operating condition.
• Direct and supervise maintenance staff.

Job description

Primary Purpose: Responsible for on-site leadership of maintenance and repair services for assigned district facilities or specific trades area. Assist Director of Operations to maintain the physical school plant in a condition of operating excellence so it may be fully used at all times.

Special Knowledge/Skills:

Specific knowledge of crafts used in building repair and maintenance including carpentry; electrical repair; heating, ventilation, and air conditioning; painting; or plumbing

Ability to direct and supervise personnel

Ability to read blueprints and schematics

Ability to perform mathematical calculations
