The Maintenance Supervisor supervises and coordinates the activities of mechanics engaged in the maintenance, electrical, and mechanical operations.
Essential Functions
- Ensure proper maintenance of machinery and facilities.
- Develops, scheduled and controls a preventive maintenance program to maintain machinery and equipment in proper working conditions.
- Plans a work schedule to maintain all company property in a safe and usable condition and to achieve a safe work environment for all employees.
- Discusses work to be performed by mechanics to ensure understanding and monitors work efforts.
- Assists mechanics in determining work procedures and in resolving technical problems encountered in assignments.
- Inspects, coordinates and documents work performed by the team.
- Conduct interviews with candidates for job vacancies.
- Arranges the orientation and training of new mechanics.
- Manages minor discipline problems with employees and refers more serious discipline problems to the Operations Manager.
- Manages outside contractors on site for routine maintenance activities and for special projects as assigned.
- Initiates required work permits for all maintenance activities by Innospec employees as well as outside contractors.
- Works in accordance with all procedures, policies, and rules established by Innospec
Role Requirements
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Minimum of 5-year work experience in an industrial maintenance department.
- Must have basic understanding of WORD and EXCEL.
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must follow good manufacturing practices at the facility.
- Must have experience welding, pipe fitting, rotating equipment, utilities, instrumentation and electrical wiring.
Environmental Restrictions
- Ability to perform essential job duties in both indoor and outdoor environments, including offices, facilities, and external job sites.
- Regular exposure to varying weather conditions, noise, dust, moving equipment, and uneven terrain.
- Physical requirements may include sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, bending, reaching, and operating tools or equipment as necessary to perform job responsibilities.
