Job summary
People Incorporated in Richmond, VA, is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee maintenance operations for affordable housing communities. The role combines hands-on trade work with supervision of maintenance staff and key capital projects across our service area.
You'll lead preventive maintenance, coordinate with vendors, inspect properties, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, and maintain accurate work orders and turnover schedules.
Qualifications
- Experience in building maintenance, repairs, and grounds upkeep.
- Leadership experience supervising maintenance staff.
- Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry or related trades.
Responsibilities
- Lead & support: Directly provide maintenance services for a new affordable housing property in Richmond; Lead and support Maintenance Technicians across multiple sites.
- Maintain & improve: Coordinate preventive maintenance programs; Assist with capital projects, vendor management, and contract oversight; Conduct property inspections and identify maintenance needs.
- Keep communities strong: Help ensure quality, safety, and regulatory compliance; Support inventory management and maintenance documentation.
- Deliver results: Provide hands-on assistance when needed to keep work orders and unit turnover on schedule.
