Job summary

Lynd Management Group is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to lead the maintenance operations of a multifamily property in the Pittsburgh area. This role oversees the maintenance team, service requests, make-readies, preventive maintenance, inspections, vendor coordination, and safety.

The ideal candidate combines technical expertise with strong leadership, developing employees and delivering prompt, professional service to residents.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years of multifamily, facility, or mechanical maintenance experience.
• EPA Type III or Universal certification required.
• Certified Pool Operator certification required.
• Experience leading or supervising a maintenance team preferred.
• OSHA safety knowledge and safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead, schedule, train, and develop the property's maintenance team.
• Prioritize service requests, make-readies, inspections, and preventive maintenance projects.
• Ensure work orders and apartments are completed correctly and on time.
• Inspect apartments, buildings, grounds, and mechanical systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, and pool equipment.
• Maintain maintenance schedules, records, and equipment documentation.
• Oversee on-call schedule and after-hours emergencies.
• Coordinate with vendors and monitor work quality.
• Maintain inventory of supplies, tools, and chemicals.

Lynd Management Group is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to lead the maintenance operations of a multifamily property. This position oversees the maintenance team, service requests, apartment make-readies, preventive maintenance, inspections, vendor work, inventory, and safety.

What You’ll Do

• Lead, schedule, train, and develop the property’s maintenance team.
• Assign and prioritize service requests, make-readies, inspections, and preventive maintenance projects.
• Ensure service requests and apartments are completed correctly and on time.
• Inspect apartments, buildings, grounds, amenities, and mechanical systems regularly.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, water heaters, pool equipment, and other property systems.
• Maintain preventive maintenance schedules, service records, inspection logs, and equipment documentation.
• Manage the maintenance team’s on-call schedule and respond to after-hours emergencies.
• Coordinate with approved vendors and contractors and monitor the quality of completed work.
• Maintain an accurate inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, equipment, and chemicals.
• Keep maintenance shops, storage areas, dumpsters, and work areas clean, organized, and secure.
• Ensure employees follow company policies, OSHA requirements, and safe work practices.
• Communicate maintenance concerns, major repairs, and project updates to the Property Manager.

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or GED.
• Three to five years of multifamily, facility, or mechanical maintenance experience.
• Supervisory or team-lead experience preferred.
• EPA Type III or Universal certification required.
• Certified Pool Operator certification required.
• Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, appliances, carpentry, drywall, painting, flooring, and pool maintenance.
• Knowledge of OSHA requirements and safe work practices.
• Strong leadership, organization, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Basic computer and mobile technology skills.
• Ability to participate in the on-call rotation and respond to emergencies during evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Trade school or relevant military technical training is a plus.
• Bilingual English and Spanish skills are a plus.

Work Environment and Schedule

This is a full-time, physically active position that may involve standing, walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, reaching, safely operating tools, and working indoors or outdoors in varying weather conditions.
