POSITION SUMMARY:
The Maintenance Supervisor has primary responsibility for all plant equipment and maintenance. Will participate, coordinate and direct the design, planning, construction, maintenance, and alteration of equipment, machinery, buildings, and other facilities by performing the following duties personally or through others.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee and perform maintenance of all facility infrastructure and equipment.
- Implement and maintain preventive and/or predictive maintenance programs to improve facility/equipment uptime.
- Manage vendors, contractors, and service providers who support equipment and infrastructure.
- Inspect plant and evaluate use of space and facilities to maximize productivity.
- Review utilities consumption and strive to minimize costs.
- Analyze firm's HVAC systems, computer network wiring, lighting, and other factors.
- Establish and maintain periodic operational testing schedules for critical systems and equipment.
- Plans, budgets, and schedules facilities modifications including cost estimates, bid sheets, layouts, and contracts for construction and acquisitions.
- Develops long range plans, conceptual designs, and capital outlay requirements and documentation for facility.
- Maintain maintenance records in an orderly fashion; deliver reports and KPIs timely and accurately.
- Acts as liaison to public utility, environmental, and energy agencies.
- Inspects construction and installation progress to ensure conformance to established specifications.
- Oversees the coordination of building space allocation, layout, and communication services.
- Oversees and directs maintenance personnel and workers engaged in equipment installation, facilities equipment repair, and preventive maintenance.
- Supervise maintenance team members and support development of staff, serving as mentor and technical resource for technician troubleshooting.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style.
- Self-motivated to complete projects on-time and utilize problem-solving skills to find safe solutions.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial or mechanical engineering or related discipline; or commensurate experience in all phases of manufacturing maintenance is preferred.
- 4+ years' work experience in maintenance.
- Demonstrated success in managing the maintenance/repairs of all equipment in an industrial facility.
- Experience with hourly employee performance management and employee coaching.
- Ability to be trained and handle hazardous waste.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move a minimum of 35 pounds of office or facilities equipment (pumps, tools, ladders) and ability to safely install rigging/lifting devices.
- The work environment is combination of normal office type environments and manufacturing shop environments.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
