Our client is looking for a Night Shift Maintenance Supervisor.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with industrial production equipment, electrical and electronic systems, automation, mechanical systems, and food-processing or manufacturing environments. The Maintenance Supervisor will work closely with Production and maintenance personnel to minimize downtime while maintaining safety, quality, sanitation, and equipment reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, coordinate, and support the night shift maintenance team, ensuring work assignments and responsibilities are properly distributed.
- Work hands-on alongside maintenance technicians and Production to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automation-related equipment issues.
- Perform preventive maintenance and corrective repairs in accordance with the established maintenance program.
- Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and serve as the first point of contact for major maintenance issues during the night shift.
- Troubleshoot equipment failures and restore production safely and efficiently while minimizing downtime.
- Perform and document Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for significant or recurring equipment failures and elevate major issues to the Maintenance Manager.
- Safely complete equipment repairs, replacements, installations, modifications, and startups.
- Coordinate and oversee on-site contractors and verify that work meets safety and quality requirements.
- Identify critical spare parts and communicate repair and purchasing requirements to management.
- Support spare parts inventory by pulling, using, documenting, and maintaining appropriate inventory levels.
- Use the CMMS daily to receive, update, complete, and close work orders and accurately record labor, parts, and equipment history.
- Participate in shift meetings and conduct daily follow-ups with maintenance personnel.
- Ensure effective shift-to-shift communication regarding open work orders, equipment conditions, ongoing repairs, and outstanding issues.
- Complete accurate end-of-shift maintenance reports.
- Train, coach, and mentor maintenance technicians on equipment operation, troubleshooting, repair procedures, and safe work practices.
- Ensure maintenance activities comply with food safety, GMP, sanitation, quality, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Follow and enforce all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and applicable OSHA and company safety standards.
- Work weekends, overtime, or adjusted schedules when required by operational needs.
