Job summary

Transdev in Las Vegas, Nevada is hiring a Maintenance Supervisor to lead daily maintenance operations, supervise technicians and dispatch personnel, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

You will manage the maintenance budget for the location, coach staff, track performance, and work with safety and training teams to meet service goals. A CDL with endorsements and 3+ years supervisory transit experience are required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 5+ years experience working on diesel, gasoline, CNG engines and Zero Emissions battery electric.
  • Class B or higher Commercial Driver’s License with Passenger endorsement and Air brake endorsement required or the ability to obtain one.
  • 3 or more years of relevant transit supervisory experience required.
  • Thorough knowledge of transit system regulations and operations.
  • Working knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and relevant database programs.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to organize and perform work efficiently; strong attention to details.
  • Ability to work effectively with labor; may include labor grievances and negotiations.
  • Subject to a DOT physical exam and DOT drug testing.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises daily activities of all technicians and coordinates the activities of supervisors and dispatch personnel.
  • Works closely with the maintenance department to ensure that all operation service requirements are met.
  • Track, compile and analyze performance; handle interdepartmental issues; resolve employee issues and grievances; improve processes and route scheduling.
  • Evaluates the work performance of staff; ensures the timely and efficient completion of all assigned tasks.
  • Assists in accident/incident investigation, including any needed on-site assistance and support to safety and training personnel.
  • Coordinates with the safety and training department to ensure all safety goals and directives are met.
  • May operate a vehicle in revenue service, if necessary.
  • Other duties as required.

We are hiring a Maintenance Supervisor in Las Vegas, Nevada!

Maintenance Supervisor reports directly to the Maintenance Manger in fulfilling daily operations including but not limited to maintenance supervision, technician supervision, effective communication with internal and external customers and coaching employees for optimal performance, managing the entire maintenance operation in the absence of the Maintenance Manager, complying with all Company policies and managing the maintenance operation within the budgetary plan for the location.

Key Responsibilities:
