Job summary

Transdev North America in Norcross, GA is seeking a Maintenance Shop Supervisor to lead a diesel technician team. You will supervise and coordinate diagnosis, maintenance, and repair of diesel vehicles and equipment, ensuring timely, high-quality work.

The role requires strong leadership, hands-on technical skill, and the ability to manage parts inventory, safety compliance, and scheduling. Travel may be required; DOT drug test may apply.

Maintenance Shop Supervisor

Transdev in Norcross, GA

is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Shop Supervisor to join our team. The Maintenance Shop Supervisor will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of our diesel technician team, ensuring the timely and efficient diagnosis, maintenance, and repair of diesel vehicles and equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent leadership abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional service.

Non-CBA Position
  • Competitive compensation package of minimum $70,000 – Maximum $73,000.

  • Vacation: minimum of two (2) weeks

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and prioritize the workload of the diesel technician team, assigning tasks and ensuring that all work is completed in a timely manner.
  • Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and techniques to identify and troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues in diesel vehicles and equipment.
  • Manage inventory levels of parts and supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels to support maintenance and repair activities while minimizing waste and excess inventory.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, and other components, adhering to manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
  • Coach and monitor members of the work team.
  • Other duties as required.

Travel requirement outside of immediate area as needed.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a diesel technician, with demonstrated proficiency in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines and related systems.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
  • The employee is generally subjected to long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen.
  • Work environment will be a combination of both indoors and outdoors.
