Job summary

Morton Salt in New Iberia, LA seeks a Maintenance Supervisor to provide hands-on, first-line leadership to hourly maintenance staff and to direct maintenance activities. You will enforce policy, safety rules, and MSHA and regulatory requirements while ensuring uptime and reliability.

Qualifications

Morton Salt, which has produced and delivered salt since 1848, is hiring a Maintenance Supervisor in New Iberia, LA to provide hands-on, first-line leadership and technical direction to hourly maintenance employees. The supervisor enforces company policies and MSHA, state and federal requirements, conducts accident investigations, audits and inspections, assigns and prioritizes daily maintenance work, administers the collective bargaining agreement, manages work orders, backlog and schedules in the CMMS, runs preventive and predictive maintenance and root-cause analysis to improve uptime, and supports outages, emergency repairs and on-call needs, with technical support across mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, diesel, welding, rigging and control systems (Allen-Bradley PLC experience preferred). Requirements include 5+ years of relevant maintenance and/or supervisory experience, strong industrial maintenance knowledge, the ability to read manuals, schematics and blueprints, CMMS and Microsoft Office skills, and availability for any shift, overtime, weekends, holidays and on-call work; mine maintenance supervisory and underground production mining experience are preferred, and the role requires the ability to work underground.
