Join our team as a Maintenance Supervisor at Atkore

We are seeking a Maintenance Supervisor based in Hobart, IN, to oversee plant maintenance personnel, emphasizing preventative and predictive maintenance, and responding promptly to plant operational needs.

Responsibilities include:

• Supporting and actively participating in safety, health, and environmental policy improvements.
• Implementing Total Productive Maintenance and Preventive Maintenance practices.
• Troubleshooting and repairing equipment and facilities.
• Analyzing data to enhance plant operations and resolve maintenance issues.
• Managing maintenance and training manuals, ensuring staff training compliance.
• Coordinating with plant departments and managing a computerized maintenance management system.
• Participating in Lean Daily Manufacturing, 5S activities, and fostering a Lean culture.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required; a four-year or technical degree is preferred.
• Five to seven years of supervisory experience in manufacturing.
• Preferred experience in electrical troubleshooting and machinery maintenance.
• Physical ability to lift up to 60 lbs and stand/walk for 12 hours.
• Must pass drug screening and background check.

Development milestones:

• Within 3 months: Complete NFPA-70E training and Atkore New Hire Immersion; gain basic tube mill process knowledge.
• Within 6 months: Participate in Kaizen events, develop PM and PdM programs, and create training materials.
• Within 12 months: Acquire advanced tube mill process knowledge, contribute to plant metrics, and lead continuous improvement projects.
