Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, and supervise maintenance staff in daily activities including repairs, service requests, and groundskeeping.
- Hire, train, and develop maintenance staff, ensuring adherence to policies and safety practices.
- Conduct safety inspections, correct unsafe practices, and train staff on safety procedures.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors for maintenance, installation, and repair work.
- Maintain departmental budget, ensuring projects stay within financial guidelines.
- Prepare project specifications, solicit bids, and inspect vendor work for quality and compliance.
- Order supplies and materials efficiently, maintaining proper inventory levels.
- Ensure timely completion of service requests, make-readies, and maintenance projects.
- Troubleshoot and train staff on trades such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry.
- Adhere to safety policies and OSHA regulations, maintaining a safe work environment.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years’ maintenance experience, property management experience preferred.
- Proven leadership and supervisory skills.
- Knowledge of electrical, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, and related trades.
- Certifications in HVAC and EPA preferred.
- Strong communication skills and computer literacy.
- Valid driver’s license may be required.
- Availability for on-call, emergency, and off-hours work.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
