Qualifications

  • Four years of landscape maintenance experience with supervisory experience.
  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree may substitute for some experience.
  • Proficiency in GIS and relevant certifications preferred.

Are you an experienced landscape professional ready to lead a dedicated team in maintaining and improving the City of Medford’s beautiful parks and open spaces? As a Parks Maintenance Supervisor, you’ll play a key role in planning and coordinating the care of our recreational areas—managing everything from daily maintenance operations to long-term improvement projects. Required Education and Experience:

*Graduation from high school or GED equivalent; and
*Four (4) years of progressively responsible landscape maintenance experience with one (1) of those years in a supervisory or leadership position
*Bachelor’s degree in horticulture, plant science, forestry, arboriculture, or agriculture, or other specific area of study as deemed applicable may substitute for two (2) years of work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

*Proficiency in GIS mapping software
*Possession of the Oregon Public Pesticide License.
*Certified Playground Safety Inspector.
*Certified Park and Recreation Professional.

Available Schedule:

*8 hours daily, Monday – Friday

Compensation & Information on Benefits:
This position is part of theNon-Representedemployee group.

**Scheduled salary increases and a 2.5% Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA) will be effective July 1, 2025**

The anticipated hiring range for the Parks Maintenance Supervisorposition is $37.54(first step) to $39.41or $41.38(second or third step).The City of Medford determines starting pay based on an evaluation of relevant education, experience, andqualifications as provided by the applicant in their application materials, alongside others who perform work of comparable character consistent with the Oregon Equal Pay Act.Sixsteps are included in this salary range, allowing opportunity for annual movement through the steps.
