Job summary

Vinson Hall is a unique not-for-profit Continuing Care Retirement Community in McLean, VA seeking a Maintenance Supervisor. You will oversee maintenance services for residents, staff, and grounds under the Facilities Manager and lead a small team with 5+ years in building trades.

Requirements include a high school diploma (tech school preferred), CMMS/BAS familiarity, and the ability to dispatch staff and manage HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drywall, and equipment repairs.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required; technical school preferred.
• Minimum 5 years in building/construction with 2+ years supervisory exp.
• Experience with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drywall, and equipment repair.
• Ability to dispatch and assist staff; light snow removal.
• Experience using smartphones/tablets for work.
• CMMS/BAS experience required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and perform maintenance services for community, residents, staff and grounds.
• Report to Facilities Manager and coordinate with maintenance team.
• Maintain safety and quality standards across multiple systems.

Under general supervision, the Maintenance Supervisor oversees as well as performs maintenance services for the community, residents, staff, and surrounding grounds. This position reports to the Facilities Manager.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent required. Graduate of a technical school preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the building and construction fields preferred with additional two years of supervisory experience.
• HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing systems; drywall installation, patching and painting, and mechanical equipment repair experience, highly preferred.
• Ability to dispatch and assist maintenance staff with light snow removal.
• Must have experience using smartphone and / or tablet for work purposes.
• CMMS/BAS experience required.
