Job summary

Independence Realty Trust Inc. is seeking a Service Manager in Louisville to lead maintenance initiatives, troubleshoot repairs, and support overall community upkeep.

You will manage the service team, prioritize work orders, and deliver exceptional resident service in a hands-on, independent role. The position requires 2+ years in property maintenance, EPA Type I/II and possibly CPO certifications, a valid driver’s license, and willingness to attend out-of-state training.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of property maintenance or related experience.
• EPA Type I and II certifications required; CPO preferred.
• Ability to lift 45 lbs regularly and 80 lbs occasionally, and push/pull up to 200 lbs.
• Strong communication and customer service skills with a professional demeanor.
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to attend company-paid out-of-state training within first 2 weeks of employment

Responsibilities

• Partner with Community and Regional Managers on maintenance initiatives.
• Lead, train, and support the service team.
• Prioritize work orders to ensure timely completion.
• Troubleshoot issues and assist with service requests.
• Manage budgets while delivering exceptional resident service.
• Follow safety procedures and ensure compliance with company standards.
• Provide excellent customer service to residents.
• Participate in emergency/on-call maintenance rotation
