Description:
- Assist and coach Team Leaders and Team Members on 5S activities (sweep, sort, sift, sanitize, and sustain) in assigned departments.
- Identify sources of contamination and establish countermeasures to eliminate them.
- Manage machine classification based on cost deployment and breakdown maps; lead OEE, MTBF, and MTTR analysis to reduce breakdowns and stoppages, aiming for zero losses.
- Lead spare parts management activities to minimize losses due to part unavailability.
- Monitor and promote CILR (cleaning, inspecting, lubricating, re-tightening) activities as per the AM calendar for models and expansion areas.
- Assist in reducing CILR time to improve overall OEE.
- Implement visual controls to enhance workplace status at a glance.
- Support cross-functional teams in the Top 5 problem-solving process using WCM tools to reduce variation.
- Ensure daily production output and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Provide maintenance support for machinery and processes on production lines.
- Maintain safety and integrity of all personnel involved.
- Facilitate communication across departments, lines, and internal suppliers.
- Coordinate external resources for technical challenges beyond team capability.
- Lead the definition and cataloging of spare parts.
- Drive the EWO process to document equipment failures.
- Update job instructions, lessons, and checklists in your areas of responsibility.
- Analyze process parameters affecting product variation and assist in root cause analysis and process improvements.
- Participate in PFMEA activities within your scope.
- Implement WCM pillar standards such as AM, PM, QC, FI, and PD.
- Assist in KPI tracking using available systems and tools.
- Serve as Production Business Unit Leader as needed.
- Support activities to improve Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma and GED
- Minimum 3 years of industrial automation and project management experience
- Ability to work any shift and overtime as needed
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build relationships with all levels within the plant
- Capability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Self-starter with leadership abilities
- Ability to coach and develop skilled trades employees
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Valid driver’s license; flexible to work any shift
Preferred Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical or engineering field
- Experience with continuous improvement and lean manufacturing
- Leadership experience in union environments
- Green Belt, Black Belt, or Six Sigma training
- Knowledge of controls, robotics, drives, communication systems, sealing, glass, conveyance, welding, painting, vision systems, and sensors
- Familiarity with World Class Manufacturing methodology
- Proficiency in Google Suite
