Job summary

Talent Acq Llc in Helm, CA is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead a hands-on maintenance team in a food processing plant. You will plan daily work, supervise technicians, and ensure equipment reliability, safety, and compliance in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires 5+ years in maintenance with supervisory experience, strong knowledge of plant systems, and a bachelor’s in engineering or equivalent. Onsite position with competitive pay and incentives.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or processing environment, including supervisory experience.
• Strong working knowledge of processing equipment and plant systems (mechanical, electrical, instrumentation).
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, chemical, industrial, or electrical engineering, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and hands-on experience. Proven experience counts here.
• Solid communication skills, from the shop floor to plant leadership, both verbal and written.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word). JD Edwards experience is a plus.
• Valid driver's license and reliable attendance.
• Willingness to work extended hours, off-shifts, and weekends when operations require it.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of hourly maintenance technicians, including performance reviews, development plans, and corrective action when needed.
• Plan and schedule daily work assignments and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and keep production moving.
• Manage crew schedules, time off, and time cards, and delegate work fairly and effectively.
• Serve as the go-to resource for troubleshooting across pumps, compressors, hydraulics, pneumatics, valves, electrical, and instrumentation.
• Review and audit safe work permits and equipment isolation (LOTO) procedures. Lead Job Safety Analyses and safety orientations for employees and contractors.
• Maintain spare parts inventory through purchasing requisitions and stock item management.
• Recommend equipment modifications, upgrades, and process improvements to plant leadership.
• Coordinate on-the-job training for new hires and cross-training for the whole team.
• Keep maintenance procedures, equipment files, work orders, incident reports, and shift reports accurate and current.

We are partnering with a respected, privately held global food and agriculture company to find a Maintenance Supervisor for its processing plant in Helm, California.
