Job summary

Talent Acq Llc in Helm, CA is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead a hands-on maintenance team in a food processing plant. You will plan daily work, supervise technicians, and ensure equipment reliability, safety, and compliance in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires 5+ years in maintenance with supervisory experience, strong knowledge of plant systems, and a bachelor’s in engineering or equivalent. Onsite position with competitive pay and incentives.

Qualifications

5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or processing environment, including supervisory experience.
Strong working knowledge of processing equipment and plant systems (mechanical, electrical, instrumentation).
Bachelor's degree in mechanical, chemical, industrial, or electrical engineering, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and hands-on experience. Proven experience counts here.
Solid communication skills, from the shop floor to plant leadership, both verbal and written.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word). JD Edwards experience is a plus.
Valid driver's license and reliable attendance.
Willingness to work extended hours, off-shifts, and weekends when operations require it.

Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and develop a team of hourly maintenance technicians, including performance reviews, development plans, and corrective action when needed.
Plan and schedule daily work assignments and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and keep production moving.
Manage crew schedules, time off, and time cards, and delegate work fairly and effectively.
Serve as the go-to resource for troubleshooting across pumps, compressors, hydraulics, pneumatics, valves, electrical, and instrumentation.
Review and audit safe work permits and equipment isolation (LOTO) procedures. Lead Job Safety Analyses and safety orientations for employees and contractors.
Maintain spare parts inventory through purchasing requisitions and stock item management.
Recommend equipment modifications, upgrades, and process improvements to plant leadership.
Coordinate on-the-job training for new hires and cross-training for the whole team.
Keep maintenance procedures, equipment files, work orders, incident reports, and shift reports accurate and current.
