Come join our team as the Full-Time Maintenance Supervisor at our state-of-the-art, skilled nursing facility. This management and hands-on position oversees the facility's plant management, ensuring all systems and equipment are operational and meet regulatory standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Organizes, directs, and supervises the operation of the facility's preventative maintenance and repair programs involving building and grounds.
• Coordinates maintenance and repair activities with other departments.
• Plans, directs, and supervises the maintenance program (heating, cooling, plumbing, water, gas, electrical, mechanical, communications, carpentry, painting, etc.).
• Supervises maintenance assistants, assigns duties, and evaluates work performance.
• Supervises grounds care, maintenance of institutional equipment, and buses.
• Records work performed and costs involved.
• Coordinates maintenance department work with other departments to avoid interrupting patient care or business operations.
• Inspects equipment and systems regularly for proper functioning and safety; inspects building and grounds for compliance with safety codes.
• Prepares and submits reports as directed by the administrator.
• Alternates on-call duties for emergencies with the maintenance assistant.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or GED; technical or associate degree preferred but not required.
• At least five years of experience in maintenance or similar work preferred.
• Ability to plan and execute repair programs, including new construction and installations; ability to lead others.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Knowledge of boilers, compressors, generators, and related machinery, as well as mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Knowledge of record keeping and cost estimation.
• Familiarity with supplies and equipment used by the department and their maintenance.
