This position is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of maintenance systems while supporting production goals, equipment uptime, employee development, and continuous improvement initiatives.The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills, experience leading maintenance teams, and a passion for developing employees and driving operational excellence.Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Team DevelopmentLead, coach, and develop Maintenance Technicians and Maintenance Team Leaders.Facilitate daily team meetings and communicate departmental priorities.Ensure team members receive training necessary to develop and improve technical skills.Conduct performance evaluations, coaching conversations, and employee development discussions.Partner with Human Resources in recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and developing maintenance personnel.Address employee concerns and resolve workplace issues in a professional and timely manner.Maintenance OperationsSchedule personnel, equipment, materials, and support services to maximize efficiency and meet production requirements.Review work schedules and estimate manpower requirements to complete work assignments.Coordinate maintenance activities to support production goals and equipment reliability.Demonstrate strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to minimize downtime and improve equipment performance.Ensure maintenance activities are executed safely and efficiently.Safety, Quality & ComplianceTranslate company objectives in Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), 5S, Quality (ISO), and Production into actionable plans.Enforce safety policies and procedures while promoting a culture of accountability.Interpret company policies and ensure compliance among team members.Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and cost reduction.Communication & CollaborationEffectively communicate with team members, peers, production leadership, vendors, suppliers, and technical staff.Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve equipment and operational issues.Maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Required QualificationsEducation & ExperienceAssociate Degree from an accredited technical school or two-year college, ORMinimum of two (2) years of leadership responsibility in industrial maintenance and training, ANDMinimum of five (5) years of maintenance experience in a multi-craft industrial environment, OREquivalent combination of education and experience.Technical SkillsStrong electrical and mechanical maintenance background with demonstrated experience in:Allen-Bradley PLCs (SLC 500 and PLC-5)Mitsubishi PLCsABB S3 and S4 RoboticsAC and DC Servo DrivesInverter and DC Drive SystemsHighly automated manufacturing equipment and roboticsIndustrial troubleshooting and root cause analysisPreventive and corrective maintenance systemsLeadership SkillsTeam leadership and employee developmentScheduling and manpower planningPerformance management and coachingConflict resolution and team buildingContinuous improvement and problem-solvingAdditional RequirementsStrong verbal and written communication skillsStrong math and analytical skillsExcellent organizational and planning abilitiesAbility to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentWhy Toyo Tires?At Toyo Tires, you'll have the opportunity to lead a highly skilled maintenance team supporting world-class manufacturing operations.
