Job summary

Electrical Automation Services is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Manager to lead plant maintenance operations in Galt, CA. The role focuses on improving equipment reliability, driving preventative maintenance, and supporting a fast-paced production environment.

The ideal candidate will lead technicians, manage downtime responses, and drive accountability while staying engaged with plant operations. Strong leadership, troubleshooting, and ammonia refrigeration experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance leadership experience in manufacturing, food production, chemical, or industrial processing environments.
• Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems.
• Working knowledge of PSM (Process Safety Management) programs and compliance requirements.
• Strong troubleshooting background in industrial equipment and plant systems.
• Experience leading maintenance teams in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise maintenance technicians across daily plant operations.
• Manage preventative maintenance programs, work orders, and equipment reliability initiatives.
• Coordinate labor scheduling, technician assignments, and weekly payroll approvals.
• Support production by minimizing downtime and responding to equipment failures with urgency.
• Troubleshoot and support mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and controls-related equipment issues.
• Improve PM effectiveness, spare parts organization, and maintenance documentation.
• Work closely with operations and quality teams to improve overall plant performance.
• Drive root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage outside vendors, contractors, and OEM relationships.
• Participate in capital projects, equipment upgrades, and facility improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee ammonia refrigeration maintenance activities and contractor coordination.
• Develop and mentor maintenance personnel while building accountability within the department.
