Job summary

Electrical Automation Services is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Manager to lead plant maintenance operations in Lathrop, CA. This on-site role focuses on improving equipment reliability, supervising technicians, and coordinating maintenance activities to support a fast-paced production environment.

The ideal candidate will drive ASAP downtime resolution, lead continuous improvement, and ensure regulatory compliance and safety across the plant.

Qualifications

• Maintenance leadership experience in manufacturing or industrial settings.
• Experience working with ammonia refrigeration systems.
• Knowledge of PSM (Process Safety Management) programs.
• Strong mechanical/electrical troubleshooting skills in plant systems.
• Experience with preventative maintenance systems and inventory control.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise maintenance technicians across daily plant operations.
• Manage preventive maintenance programs, work orders, and equipment reliability initiatives.
• Coordinate labor scheduling, technician assignments, and weekly payroll approvals.
• Support production by minimizing downtime and responding to equipment failures with urgency.
• Troubleshoot and support mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and controls-related equipment issues.
• Improve PM effectiveness, spare parts organization, and maintenance documentation.
• Work closely with operations and quality teams to improve overall plant performance.
• Drive root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage outside vendors, contractors, and OEM relationships.
• Participate in capital projects, equipment upgrades, and facility improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, safety, and regulatory requirements; support PSM programs.
• Oversee ammonia refrigeration maintenance activities and contractor coordination.
• Develop and mentor maintenance personnel while building accountability within the department.
