Job summary

Custom Building Products in Frankfort, IN is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor for a full-time salaried role. The position runs Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with leadership over mechanics across multiple shifts and collaboration with Manufacturing, Shipping, Warehousing, Receiving, and Maintenance to keep equipment running reliably.

You will develop methods to upgrade manufacturing processes, eliminate waste, reduce costs, and boost productivity.

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years experience managing employees in a multi-shift plant environment.
  • Experience with robotics, PLC, electrical, hydraulic and fluid power systems.
  • Troubleshooting PLC software (preferably Allen Bradley) and reading schematics/blueprints.
  • Light fabrication and ability to oversee and train.
  • Strong planning, problem-solving, and project-management skills.

  • Ensure reliable operation of plant equipment and drive process improvements to reduce waste and cost.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR to join our Frankfort, IN plant.This is a full-time salaried position Monday to Friday (6:00 AM - 2:30 PM). You will provide leadership to mechanics on multiple shifts. You also will work closely with all departments in the facility, including Manufacturing, Shipping, Warehousing, Receiving, Maintenance, etc.You will be responsible for ensuring the reliable operation of plant equipment and developing methods to enhance or upgrade the manufacturing processes to eliminate waste, reduce cost and improve overall production productivity. About the Role
Responsibilities:
  • You should have at least 5 years experience managing employees in a multi-shift plant environment.
  • You will be responsible for ensuring the reliable operation of plant equipment and developing methods to enhance or upgrade the manufacturing processes to eliminate waste, reduce cost and improve overall production productivity.
  • You must possess a depth of technical and operational expertise, combined with strong planning and problem solving skills, project management experience and the ability to influence and lead by example.
About You
We Require:
  • At least 5 years experience managing employees in a multi-shift plant environment.
  • Experience with
    • Robotics
    • PLC
    • Electrical
    • Hydraulic & fluid power experience
    • Troubleshooting through PLC software (preferably Allen Bradley)
    • Reading/interpreting schematics and blueprints
    • Light fabrication - Ability to oversee and train
    • Capable or troubleshooting and debugging of automation controls
    • Automatic bag filling equipment
  • Proven organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, delegate and follow up. Strong interpersonal and team building skills and the ability to influence and motivate others are a must. A Bachelors degree is desired.
  • Safety-minded with thorough knowledge of occupational hazards and of related safety practices.
  • Remarkable sense of urgency.
  • Great work ethic and impeccable attendance.
  • Ability to understand technical service manuals and maintain basic records for repair work done.
  • PLC practical experience and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues.
  • Ability to operate personal computer and knowledge of basic computer applications, including computer generated parts and service manuals.
  • Maintain a current state Driver’s License and a clean Motor Vehicle Record.
  • Must be able to work various hours, on-call duties when necessary.
