A leading community health system in Virginia seeks an experienced supervisor for utility systems management. Candidates must have extensive experience in hospital maintenance and strong leadership skills to oversee a diverse team responsible for facility operations. This role ensures optimal functioning of essential building systems in both hospital and satellite locations.
Responsible for supervising and managing the day-to-day operations and maintenance of building utility systems. Manages all aspects of operation, maintenance and repair of buildings and structures and related mechanical and electrical equipment at the main hospital as well as at satellite buildings. Supervises all maintenance crafts including Electricians, Electronics Technicians, HVAC System Mechanics, Locksmith, Maintenance Mechanics, Plumbers, and support contractors. Serves as a working supervisor who possesses a sound knowledge of the mechanical and electrical systems at the main hospital building and satellite buildings.
Education
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Licensure/Certification
Hold one or more trade licenses as approved by the Virginia Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation (DPOR) required.
Experience
Minimum of ten (10) years Hospital, commercial or industrial facility operations required.
Minimum of five (5) years Healthcare maintenance experience as an electrician, plumber, mechanic or HVAC mechanic required.
