Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Diagnose malfunctions and perform vehicle repairs, including adjustments and testing of steering, electrical, cooling, lubricating, braking systems, drive trains, suspensions, power steering units, clutches, transmissions, and engine components, in accordance with all relevant guidelines.
2. Oversee and ensure compliance with NELLC maintenance and safety procedures at the local level, including adherence to applicable legislation and standards.
3. Manage the use of NELLC's Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) ERP system for recording and tracking maintenance work orders and parts inventory.
4. Supervise and oversee parts inventory maintained at the facility.
5. Participate in implementing preventive maintenance and unscheduled repairs for serviced vehicles.
6. Coordinate maintenance activities with other local operations functions such as driver care, route operations, and customer care.
7. Supervise maintenance staff at the facility.
8. Uphold high ethical standards and personal integrity, reporting suspicious or inappropriate behavior.
9. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

1. At least 5 years of fleet supervisor experience in a Diesel Shop with heavy/medium duty fleets.
2. Minimum of five years of auto, truck, or bus mechanical repair experience.
3. Experience ensuring compliance with DOT regulations for medium/heavy trucks.
4. Preferably ASE Master Automotive Technician and/or Master Truck Technician certification.
5. Proficiency in computer use and diagnostics.
6. Strong judgment and decision-making skills.
7. Experience in planning and scheduling maintenance repairs.
8. Experience supervising parts inventory, purchasing, and budget management.
9. Willingness to work flexible schedules.
10. ASE certification is desirable but not required.
11. Position is eligible for Ohio School Employee Retirement System (SERs).
12. Location: Eastlake, OH (east of Cleveland).
