Job summary

Nehring Electrical Works is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead on the shop floor and sustain/improve production equipment. The role reports to the Plant Manager and focuses on maintaining critical machinery while driving PM programs and continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate has strong electrical and mechanical maintenance knowledge, proficiency with ERP systems, AutoCAD, Minitab, and MS Office, and a proactive leadership approach. Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Associates or 2-year technical degree preferred.
• Electrical and mechanical maintenance knowledge required.
• Familiarity with ERP systems, AutoCAD, Minitab, and MS Office (Excel).
• Experience with maintenance management software such as Limble preferred.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Spanish language ability is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Operations and outside contractors to schedule maintenance activities and minimize downtime.
• Drive and improve preventative maintenance (PM) processes.
• Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives and identify capex opportunities.
• Identify actions to improve safety and reduce environmental impact.
• Demonstrate urgency to meet company commitments and goals.

Company Overview

Founded in 1912, Nehring Electrical Works has been producing wire and cable products longer than any wire mill in the Midwest. Nehring manufactures and markets bare/insulated copper and aluminum wire to the utility, telecommunication, electrical distribution and OEM markets.

Position Overview

Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Maintenance Supervisor will play an integral role in sustaining and improving Nehring's equipment and overall production processes. The Maintenance Supervisor is a hands-on, working foreman position that spends the majority of their time on the shop floor. The successful candidate will handle the following responsibilities:

• Coordinate with Operations team and outside contractors to schedule maintenance activities and manage/reduce machine downtime
• Drive and improve preventative maintenance (PM) process
• Manage multiple projects with a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
• Drive continuous improvement projects and identify opportunities for Capex
• Identify and implement actions to improve workplace safety and reduce environmental impact
• Demonstrate a sense of urgency to achieve company commitments and goals
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Must be proficient in technology and software such ERP systems, AutoCAD, Minitab, Microsoft Office (Excel)
• Familiarity with maintenance management software (e.g. Limble)

• Ability to speak/interpret Spanish a plus
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
