Maintenance Supervisor

Position Overview

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for planning, estimating, and scheduling preventative and corrective maintenance of plant equipment to maximize uptime and minimize unscheduled downtime. This role supervises maintenance, mechanical, and electrical staff, overseeing work planning and scheduling.

Principal Accountabilities
  1. Establish and coordinate routine maintenance schedules and machine downtime.
  2. Maintain inventory of parts and supplies, focusing on cost control.
  3. Schedule work, coordinate production activities, and oversee employees.
  4. Ensure completion of predictive and preventive maintenance programs and repairs.
  5. Manage maintenance budgets.
  6. Recommend and assist with capital improvements and equipment installations.
  7. Ensure the maintenance team is trained in troubleshooting, mechanical and electrical repairs, and equipment use.
  8. Maintain a safe, clean, and injury-free work environment by enforcing health and safety procedures.
Basic Qualifications
  • Experience in maintenance management and box plant maintenance.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in equipment and electrical maintenance.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Flexibility to work varying hours as needed.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree or certification in production maintenance, or a bachelor’s degree in engineering.
  • Supervisory experience in coaching, training, team building, performance development, and conflict resolution.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing safety practices.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Strong analytical, mechanical, and mathematical skills.
  • Proficiency in electrical and mechanical maintenance.
  • Knowledge of corrugated and packaging equipment maintenance.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing systems and shop floor software.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, prioritizing multiple projects.
